Available year-round: pasture raised pork and pigs!

My pigs are humanely raised in large open pens and pasture and wooded lots. I supplement them with locally grown grains and hay crops in addition to what they forage in their paddocks. These pigs are not fed any growth hormones or antibiotic medicated feeds. The sows (mothers) are not over bred or pushed to have too many litters in a year as compared to conventional hog operations. The piglets are allowed to grow with theirĀ mothers full term to be weaned off by her instead of being stolen from their mother and pushed into concentrated feeding.

The feeding and handling as well as the breeds I raise provide for wonderful table fair. Many of my customers have told me the flavor of this pork is without compare–even the fat!

I offer whole or half hogs delivered to regional butcher shops such as Farview Farms, Holton Meat Processing, Bowser Meat Processing, etc. I also market retail cuts through Salem Farm Topeka. Smaller sized hogs are available for BBQ whole hogs and holiday roast suckling pig.

For those of you interested in finishing your own pigs, I have feeder pigs all year as well. 4-H pigs and other Fair pigs may be purchased from my January/February litters.
